Richard Lino Lako, MD, MPH, MSc is a Medical Epidemiologist and Director General of Policy, Planning, Budget and Research in the South Sudan Ministry of Health where he leads efforts on reforms and innovation ensuring quality health care delivery for the South Sudanese People. He has more than twenty years of experience in health sector leadership, Disease surveillance and outbreaks Control and Management, Health System Strengthening, includes been a champion for implementation of digital health initiatives including DHIS 1.4 to DHIS2 and community Health information system and using of these information systems to inform evidence-based planning, reporting and accountability as a mechanism for improving provision of equitable and quality health services in the Republic of South Sudan.
